December 5th

It was a great day,  I think I'm getting the hang of going with the flow.  I woke at 4:30 and typed my blog.  Then I was off for a little nap so I could be refreshed for the day.

I woke again when I heard Pam get up.  We made breakfast and I was thinking of taking another nap but found that Julie needed drugs and had a list she would like.  I knew she wanted mother caring time and I asked Pam if she would come with me. I was very grateful for a yes.  We decided to shop at Raley's since that is where Julie thought her throat coating tea was.  I looked on line and found there was only one here in Vallejo and the other in Alameda, where Julie lives.  Since Pam knew where the Vallejo one was we picked everything that she asked for except one which we couldn't find.

Once we decided to go see her we had to calculate time.  Any time traveling beyond the Carquinez bridge, calculating the trip home is very important or you get caught in a major traffic jam.  It didn't help that it was a Friday either. Alameda is about 40 minutes without traffic which becomes hours when traffic hits.  We left at 11:15 and knew that we needed to head back from Julie's at 2:30.

Julie was so glad to see us but had sent me a txt I didn't get and also the one she wanted the most was the ONE I didn't find.  I did get to hug and cuddle her for a little bit.  At the same time Pam got hungry and we all found we were hungry, so off to Walgreens and to pick up food.  We had difficulty finding it and then when we resorted to GPS it was in front of us.  We were so grateful and the parking angel was with us again and we found a spot right out side.  I found everything Julie needed and off to pick up our food.  We all got burrito's and the place was very cute and great food.  I don't remember the name right now but I'm sure I'll be going there again.

Back at Julie's we had time to eat and Julie started feeling better with the Dayquil I had gotten earlier.  After quickly eating it was time for us to be off so we'd miss the traffic.  In the car we noted that it was 2:33 and we were even happier when there was just one slowup and we got through without a major blockage.  We were back home before 4.

Both Pam and I were tired so we rested, as I call my naps.  I do love them and I'm so thrilled that Pam loves them too.  We both woke at the same time and we were off to Cosco.  What a beautiful store.  I've never seen such a huge one either.  The gas line had been very short and leaving at 5 we got back at 6, what a quick and simple trip.

We ate our chicken, yellow beets, and potato's and were then off to poker night.  Poker night isn't playing poker but a ladies group where everyone works on a project and talks about the events of the week.  It was so great that I was included, though my project was my jigsaw puzzle on my tablet, I had a great time.  I loved meeting and getting to know everyone.

A little after 9 Pam noticed I was tired.  I had finished my puzzle and we were off to Walgreen's again since I had forgotten all day to pick up my makeup removing wipes.  I, of course, found the perfect ones.

It was great getting home and I just looked at my messages and was so glad it was the end of a perfect day.  I am so grateful to my Sis, Pam for coming with me and all of her graciousness of letting me stay with her.  I never, before have gotten to know her.  She lived with my Mom while I lived with my Dad.  I  now see I've missed out on having a great friend.  How wonderful to be able to change that.

What a beautiful day, I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
